On my own personal journey I encountered many roadblocks to my health and personal development. It is my hope that I can pass on everything I have learned to you so that you may feel as great as I do.
1. I Listen to you!
"Many attempts to communicate are nullified by saying too much." Robert Greenleaf
I was given two ears and only one mouth, so I regard listening as the most important part of the communication process. I will listen to as you tell me about your circumstances and what you want to achieve in our time working together.
I fully appreciate that none of us are the same and whatever your situation I will do my utmost to empathise and create a program that works for you and your circumstances.
It is then my job to educate and coach you as to the quickest, safest and most effective route to success but, of course, you need to be enjoying your sessions as well. After all, exercise isn’t interesting unless you’re interested!
2. Setting Your Goals
"All successful people have a goal. No one can get anywhere unless he knows where he wants to go and what he wants to be or do." Norman Vincent Peale
Goals are the object of your effort and a means of focusing your effort. Your goals and objectives are understandably very important to you and also to me. They provide the framework on which we can measure your progress. We’ll go through a goal-setting exercise that I guarantee you will be completely different from goal setting exercises you may have undertaken previously.
Just to give you a clue, writing your goals down increases your chances of achieving the goals or “making the change” by 1100% I can testify that this is true from my own experiences with goal setting and those of my clients!
3. Assessing & Identifying Your Needs
“A program can only be as effective as the assessment on which it’s based.”
Before we start your exercise training and lifestyle coaching program, I conduct a comprehensive, paper-based assessment as well as a one hour physical assessment to identify postural issues, muscle imbalance and spinal curves. Most people find this process really interesting!
If you are not moving towards your goals with your exercise program, I can also conduct a number of simple and non-invasive laboratory assessments to look at hormone balance, digestive function, parasites, nutrient deficiencies, energy production and levels of toxicity.
If you have imbalances in your body’s chemistry, your progress may be slowed down, so it can be important to check some of these things out. Likewise, if you’re not moving towards your goals as we’d hope and expect, these tests can provide vital information that can help us remove roadblocks.
4. Reviewing & Refining
“Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing ‘til it gets there” Josh Billings
It’s great to sit down every few weeks to review your progress. We must ensure that you’re moving towards your goals at all times and that you’re feeling great about your program, training and life in general!
I also, of course, value your feedback and any suggestions you may have on how I can improve my service.
